Habilitar Nvidia Driver desde la linea de comandos

Los siguientes comandos pueden ayudarle a resolver varios problemas con las X ,entre ellos (este) ocurrido con Karmic.

Jockey-text,es la versión de texto de Jockey, el programa que normalmente lanza los controladores restringidos.

sudo jockey-text -l

Output:
xorg:nvidia-173 – NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (Proprietary, Disabled, Not in use)
xorg:nvidia-185 – NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (Proprietary, Disabled, Not in use)
xorg:nvidia-96 – NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (Proprietary, Disabled, Not in use)

Habilitar nvidia-185:

sudo jockey-text -e xorg:nvidia-185

Output despues de ejecutar el comando anterior:

sudo jockey-text -l

Output:
xorg:nvidia-173 – NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (Proprietary, Disabled, Not in use)
xorg:nvidia-185 – NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (Proprietary, Enabled, In use)
xorg:nvidia-96 – NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (Proprietary, Disabled, Not in use)
