Ksplice Uptrack es un nuevo servicio que te permite mantener tu sistema actualizado sin esfuerzo y de forma segura, sin necesidad de reiniciar. Una vez que hayas completado el fácil proceso de instalación,tu sistema será configurado para recibir actualizaciones sin tener que reiniciar el sistema (rebootless).

¿Sabe alguien cuál es la diferencia entre ksplice y ksplice-uptrack?
Ksplice está disponible en los repositorios de Ubuntu hace tiempo.
$ sudo apt-cache search Ksplice
ksplice – Patching live kernel without having to reboot
$ sudo aptitude install ksplice
Sin embargo, ksplice-uptrack no aparece en los repos. ¿Es simplemente una nueva denominación o existe alguna diferencia entre ambos paquetes?

Ksplice’s Uptrack service is a way to automatically apply Ksplice updates that have been vetted for safety by the Ksplice developers, which is a much more convenient thing unless you like reading every kernel patch daily and testing the resulting Ksplice patch yourself.
the developers at Ksplice have made a giant step in that direction with Ksplice Uptrack, a service designed to take the restart out of even those pesky kernel updates.
